The 1950's and 60's saw the start of tourist development along the Costa Blanca. Benidorm, long a British favorite, is Spain's largest tourist resort. From a distance, its high-rise skyline shimmers like a mirage, announcing an oasis where everything is geared to entertainment.
Some 4 million visitors each year are testament to the resorts amazing organization and facilities here. Wich cheap hotels and apartments to stay, more restaurants, clubs, pubs and bars than you could fit in a lifetime the facts are plain to see; Benidorm really does offer something for everyone: Elvis impersonators; Sticky Vicky (a 65-year-old adult entertainer who works in Benidorm with her daughter... she fires ping pong balls out of places other than her mouth... other tricks include the use of razor blades and fire!!); two wonderful beaches (Levante y Poniente); shops with the most amazing items you can ever find (our last shopping was a Prince Charles toy which blows soap bubbles... off his ass!!), we doubtlessly are in a kind of trash paradise, perfect for the Funtastic Dracula Carnival.
Here is the official Benidorm website, where you can find all the info you may need about the city.
