The most picturesque part is the Old City - Barrio del Carmen and its surroundings. You can see a mixture of buildings from the Middle Ages, arabic and all the cultures living here since 2000 years ago (or more... we are not history specialists!)
If you want to see modernist buildings go the to Central Train Station (Estación del Norte) and Mercado de Colón. Both of them are amazing!!
La Ciudad de las Ciencias is a very modern and futuristic place. If you have time, go and eat in the submarine restaurant under the water while you watch sharks and tropical fishes at the Museo Oceanográfico. |

If you have a car and time, don´t miss Parque Natural de La Albufera, a natural wonder only at 8 kms from Valencia. You can swim, fish, get a ride in a boat or have a paella in El Palmar, a little island where you can eat the best ones.
